. Mental Health Counseling .
Welcome and thank you for visiting my webpage! You are taking an important step towards taking care of your health and overall wellbeing. I am here to help and guide you through this journey.
I am a middle-aged, heterosexual, cisgender woman, mother of two young kids and constantly trying to juggle career, motherhood, marriage, household expectations, social life and self-care. Finding this balance is definitely not an easy task, but it does get lighter with increased supports.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Clinician (LMHC) in the state of Massachusetts and earned my Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University (Cambridge, MA) in May of 2013. Since then, I have been working with children, adolescents and the adults in their lives both individually and in family therapy, helping them cope with life stressors, difficult emotions and challenging behaviors.
We'll work collaboratively to identify your strengths, barriers, and goals. You'll learn tools to live a more fulfilling life. Most importantly you'll feel heard, validated, understood, and supported.
"I believe in the combination of scientific, evidence-based interventions and human connection within a trusting relationship as the core components of emotional healing and behavioral change."
My approach is compassionate and strength-based, drawing on cognitive behavioral (CBT) techniques and other evidence-based approaches. I develop a trusting therapeutic relationship in a supportive, non-judgmental and respectful space. Together we will hold space for exploration of emotions, thoughts and patterns, moving towards change and growth.
I am the instrument and you are the artist. You are the agent of change in your life, the center of the therapeutic process. You know yourself better and I am here to listen, guide and offer tools to help you shine.
Culturally Sensitive Practice
I will identify and address individual needs taking into consideration their ethnical, racial and cultural backgrounds. Treatments are developed as a collaborative work between therapist and client with the awareness of the impact of issues involving power and oppression.
